Salary: $18.00 Hourly
Position Summary:
The position of Community Service Officer is a civilian, non-sworn, part-time employee of the Greenfield Police Department. As such the Community Service Officer will enhance the services provided by the Greenfield Police Department to allow Sworn-personnel the ability to better serve and perform their duties.
Essential Functions:
- Traffic control
- Assisting motorists
- Parking enforcement
- Investigate animal complaints
- Respond to other service calls as required
- Assist support staff
- Any other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent. Current enrollment at an accredited technical school, college, or university with an emphasis in police science or law enforcement related studies. Eligibility will continue up to one year after graduation.
- Ability to effectively work with others toward the goals and mission of the Greenfield Police Department. No felony conviction or conviction of any other offense which if committed in Wisconsin could be punished as a felony unless granted a complete and unconditional pardon. No misdemeanor conviction which is substantially related to the position.
- Possession and maintenance of Wisconsin driver’s license.
