Patrol Deputy

Salary: $29.50/hr.

Essential Functions:

Prevent crime by explaining and enforcing applicable federal, state, county, and local laws and ordinances; teaching preventative, protective, and defensive tactics; mediating disputes; patrolling assigned area; responding to notices of disturbances; conducting searches; observing suspicious activities; detaining suspects.
Apprehend suspects by responding to complaints and calls for help; observing violations; making arrests.
Conduct criminal investigations by gathering evidence; interviewing victims, witnesses and suspects.

Requirements:

Be at least 21 years of age or 20 years of age with 60 college credits;
Hold a HS Diploma or equivalent;
Hold a valid Maine Driver’s License;
Reside in the State of Maine and not more than 15 miles outside the Cumberland County border.
